If you are looking for a secluded get away like no other this is it. This was the most relaxing adventure ever. Stepping off the boat from Placencia onto the dock at Mokey Beach is spectacular. The beach is private and the rooms are only steps away from the water. The water is warm and inviting and offers sunning, swimming, and a quick 5 minute kayak ride away is a beautiful coral reef teaming with fish. Gary and Tina were awesome providing for every need whether it be towels for the beach or setting up a boat tour of Monkey River.

PRIVATE BEACH!!!!! Rooms are nestled between the jungle and the ocean so all views are different and incredible. Food was spectacular. Gary and Tina cooked some meals for us and had some brought in from the locals across the bay in Monkey River Village. Best rum drink ever. In a coconut you can pick out yourself. Water. You can float on a raft, Paddle Board, Kayak, Swim, Snorkel and Snorkel, boat to nearby islands or up the river. Sand volleyball.

If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a tourist town this is not it. There are no gift shops and no bar/clubs.
